A CULTURE OF SAFETY
1
Cal Empire Engineering has a strong commitment to conduct all of its operations in the safest manner possible.

Our Experience Rate (EMR) is a number that insurance carriers use to measure worker compensation risk. Anything lower than the industry average EMR of 1.0 is considered stellar. Recognizing that our safety record is the measurement tool by which many of our clients begin their qualification process, Cal Empire maintains an EMR well below the national average enabling us to protect our most valuable assets – our employees.

Our Approach
When it comes to safety, Cal Empire Engineering emphasizes communication, responsibility, accountability, safety procedures, and training and education. We empower every employee with the responsibility of maintaining safe worksites.
Our Results
Our robust safety programs lead to measurable results. We consistently maintain incident rates well below the industry average. Our worker’s compensation rate is also below industry average, and the cost savings per man-hour is passed on to clients.
Our Team
The leadership of Cal Empire continually strives to improve the quality of existing safety programs, like job hazard analyses, documentation of risk assessments, and a an organized safety orientation on every project.
It Starts At The Top

An embedded culture of safety starts with ownership — leading by example. Starting with our Safety Director, Daniel Gallet, to each and every one of our employees, a never-ending focus on safety is at the heart of what we do. Working closely with your team, Cal Empire Engineering’s full-time Safety Professional will coordinate proactively with our clients and industry experts to customize our approach to make sure we’re planning for safety on your construction project each and every step along the way.

A Day In The Life
Our Safety Department aggressively pursues a safe working environment for our employees. Our Safety Department has developed and implemented policies and procedures designed to increase the safety awareness of everyone associated with our projects.
